It’s almost June! That means Pride Month, which means gayness everywhere, but there’s plenty of gay here and that’s not changing any time soon. I’ll still be doing a couple of LGBTQ-related posts, and remember you can always look for books with queer rep on my LGBTQ+ Archive. On June 1st, we’ll also be celebrating ONE YEAR OF TINY ELF ARCANIST! I want to thank you all who keep reading my posts and reviews and hope I have helped you find a new favourite. Without further ado, here’s what to expect in the upcoming days.

Indie Contests

On Saturday May 27th from 12 pm PDT/3 pm EDT, we’ll be announcing the Indie Ink Awards winners. I say “we” because I’ll be presenting the award for Writing the Future We Need: Neurodivergent Representation, and you can tune in by joining the WriteHive Discord server. Check all the finalists.

As I mentioned in my March Update, I’ll be a panellist for BBNYA (Book Bloggers’ Novel of the Year Award). Some of the competitors this year I’ve already read and loved, and many more have been on my TBR for a while. I’ll share more news as I get them, I still don’t know how much I can make public.

There’s also SPFBO 9 (Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off), and while I won’t be participating in it, I’m as excited as most of the Indie Fantasy community. I even shared my top 3 picks from the covers of each group.

The Woke Agenda

There’ll be a new post coming tomorrow about Ableist Language (as voted on Twitter) and The Woke Agenda will hopefully keep coming every Wednesday for a couple more weeks. In June I’ll be sharing some LGBTQ+ themed.

I’m always open to feedback, suggested content, and collaborations on it. Read all the articles so far.

Celebrations

I already mentioned this blog is turning one year old. To celebrate, I made an open invitation to indie authors to share something about their books or writing process during June, and they’ve all been a delight. I’m excited to share with you what we come up with. You can expect interviews, essays, and other fun content. There’s still time to join the party, just send me an email!
