From Jan 6 to Feb 6, I’ll be participating in Keymark’s Discord server read-a-thon as part of the team Rambling Wizards led by Andrew Mattocks from Andrew’s Wizardly Reads. It’s a great idea and very attainable because you only need to read (up to) 5 SFF books, and you can win books and Amazon gift cards! Join in on the fun at Keymark even if you’re not participating in the read-a-thon.
I’ll use it to catch up on my Indie Ink Awards selection and other ARCs. You can check all prompts and more rules in the (unofficial) Storygraph reading challenge I made. Or better yet, find all the info on Discord.
There are 9 main prompts plus 3 bonus prompts. You only need to complete 5 of them (adding one bonus per book accordingly). Here’s my tentative TBR for the challenge:
(Oh, btw, all of these count as indie)

Book: The Gatekeeper’s Staff by Antoine Bandele
Prompt: Weapon(s) on the cover

Book: The Misadventures of Myndil Plodostirr by Michelle Franklin
Prompt: Published in the last year
+Bonus: Indie Author

Book: Mazarin Blues by Al Hess
Prompt: Non-US, female, or LGBTQ+ author

Book: The Prince of Daybreak by Lou Wilham
Prompt: Continue a series
+Bonus: Big Book (500+ pages)
