Grim cares too much about the people of Embervein. The unusual events they normally investigate are on the rise, and they need to get to the center of it before someone else gets hurt. They won’t do it alone, they have Argyle, their werewolf companion with golden retriever energy.

All that, and Grim had only managed to cry, ask for sugar in their coffee and take a shower.

It caught my attention in the first scene. Coming from someone who usually doesn’t like urban fantasy, I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much. Unbury the Bones is sweet, is queer, and I loved it!

The world feels alive and like every character has a story to tell. This time, it’s Grim’s, an aromantic vampire with trouble opening up for friendship.

It’s the perfect cozy read. Short but full of wit, lovely characters, and pure wholesomeness. I’m keeping an eye on this author’s future works.
